The parties have submitted a proposed settlement of USD $5 million to the California District Court based on the breach of personal information (such as names, email addresses, social security numbers and health information); it includes business changes that a retailer must make such as ending the use of certain vulnerable software, conduct periodic reviews of all file transfer programs and software, and undertake measures to secure or destroy the personal information that was subject to the breach.
