The Irish Data Protection Act has been amended to provide an express right on the part of data subjects to enforce third party beneficiary rights conferred on them under binding corporate rules, standard data protection clauses adopted by the EU Commission, and other GDPR international transfer instruments; actions brought by data subjects shall be deemed to be an action founded on contract.
