Florida Permits Telephonic Sales Calls With Written Consent

If passed, it will be unlawful for a telephone solicitor to initiate a telephonic sales call (by phone, text, prerecorded message or voicemail) to a Florida consumer without prior express written consent; violators may be subject to actual damages or $500 (whichever is greater) and damages may increase threefold if court finds that a violation was committed intentionally.
