If passed, operators of commercial websites or online services must post a conspicuous privacy policy that details categories of PII collected about individual consumers that use or visit the website or service, categories of third parties the PII may be shared with, explains how consumers can review and request changes to PII collected, and how browser ‘do not track’ signals and other consumer choice mechanisms are handled.
