New York Proposes BIPA-Like Protections

f passed, entities must provide publicly available retention schedules and guidelines for biometric identifiers and information based on those identifiers, cannot sell, lease or profit from the identifiers or information, and must ensure disclosures of the identifiers or information are permitted (individual consent, financial transaction completion, legal compliance).
