Effective from the date of publication, the national bank of Peru will oversee the operation of the national identity document (“DNI”) accounts that will enable financial services to be provided on digital platforms; the bank must be transparent about its terms and conditions for using DNI accounts, activate DNI accounts by validating a data subject’s identity either through fingerprint or facial scans, and provide channels for data subjects to submit access requests.
