If passed, platform operators must give users control over their use of their personal data by allowing them to opt out of data collection and tracking, see what information has already been collected and shared, notify them of data breaches within 72 hours, and offer them remedies when a breach occurs; the FTC and State AGs would have the authority to bring enforcement actions against platforms who violate the requirements.
