Update – Brazil LGPD news

Value Privacy is able to report that the Brazil Court of Justice upheld the urgent injunction filed by the Public Ministry’s Data Protection Unit, finding that the defendant’s website was selling personal information to companies for marketing purposes without obtaining express consent from the data subjects; the defendant is ordered to refrain from marketing or distributing personal data, and destroy all personal data processed in an inappropriate manner.
