Apple have urged their users to update their devices after a major security risk was found. The latest update, iOS 15.6.1, comes just weeks after their release of iOS 15.6. Users of iPhones, iPads, iPods, and Macs have been advised to immediately update their devices.
Apple’s security update states that an anonymous researcher had found that hackers could potentially have the ability to take control of devices. They also state they are aware that this has may have already been “actively exploited”, meaning some people may have already been affected by this issue.
The affected Apple models include:
- iPhone 6S and all later models
- iPad Pro (all models)
- iPad Air 2 and all later models
- iPad 5th generation and all later models
- iPad mini 4 and all later models
- iPod touch (7th generation)
