Oregon and Delaware Set to Join the Ranks on Privacy Legislation

Oregon and Delaware are the most recent states in the US to pass their own Privacy Law. Both states have had their bill pass both chambers of legislature and are just awaiting they respective Governors to sign the bills into law.

Both states have fairly similar features which also draws similarities to Virginia’s law. The states will be the 11th and 12th states to adopt comprehensive privacy legislation and follow on from a number of other states that have also recently had their own laws signed. May and June saw Indiana, Tennessee, Montana and Texas all enact their own laws. You can find out more about privacy laws in the US here.
