FTC Fines Cruise Line for Unauthorised Robocalls

The company’s telemarketing operation bought call lists from lead generators that conducted illegal survey robocalls to identify potential customers, failed to scrub their lists against the FTC’s Do Not Call (DNC) Registry, and called phone numbers on the Registry; for these violations, the FTC imposed a fine and permanently banned the company from engaging in, or assisting others in engaging in, making robocalls to consumers.
